Altice Forum Braga building received a Clean & Safe Cultural Equipment seal from Turismo de Portugal. This award recognizes and distinguishes the efforts made that have kept the building free of COVID-19, after reopening to the public last May.

The Clean & Safe seal, created by Turismo de Portugal, distinguishes companies and spaces that comply with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health - DGS - with regard to hygiene and safety measures in their spaces. This recognition, valid until April 30, 2021, requires the implementation of internal protocols that, according to the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health, ensures the necessary hygiene to avoid risks of contagion and guarantee safe procedures for the functioning of its activities.

The attribution of the seal means that the spaces of Altice Forum Braga are safe and disinfected, through a set of measures defined, first in March, in a Contingency Plan, which boosted the definition of several procedures with regard to compliance with all recommendations issued by the DGS to keep the building free of COVID-19 when it is opened to the general public and customers.

The measure, promoted by Turismo de Portugal and several other agents, seeks to sensitize all stakeholders in the tourism value chain, to the adoption of health security procedures.

InvestBraga, Altice Forum Braga managing entity, has been monitoring and adapting its internal procedures in order to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone, teams, visitors and spectators. In the set of measures already announced, we recall those defined for the entire building:

• Unique access to the building through the main entrance, located at Av. Dr Francisco Pires Gonçalves;
• Facilities to be opened earlier and in advance of the event;
• Mandatory use of a mask inside the premises;
• Recommended safety distance signalling;
• Signalling the access and exit routes of the premises ;
• Assignment of empty seats or safety distance between chairs available for a correct and safe distance between people;
• Digital signage with hand hygiene guidelines and mandatory social procedures;
• Cleaning and disinfection through micro nebulization of all spaces before and after the event;
• Reinforcement of cleaning staff and increased periods of disinfection and cleaning of common areas and equipment such as handrails, rest areas, ATM machines, among others;
• The cleaning team wears a mask and gloves while cleaning and disinfecting the spaces and follows all protocols indicated by health authorities;
• Reinforcement of cleaning in sanitary facilities with the use of bactericide;
• The access doors of the sanitary facilities are permanently open, in order to reduce the need for contact with the doors and handles;
• Whenever possible, windows will be opened allowing the circulation of natural air;
• The use of stairs will be privileged. The elevators have a maximum capacity of 1 person.

It should be noted that measures were also taken to protect the public (ticket offices) and access to the rooms:

• Body temperature control for participants at the entrance to the building;
• Disinfection of footwear at the entrance to the building using a bactericidal mat;
• Availability of alcohol gel for disinfecting hands;
• Mandatory hand hygiene at the entrance to the building and in the common circulation areas;
• Mandatory use of a mask inside the building (masks also available in vending machines)
• Privileged use of automatic payment (ATM, MBWay and Contactless)
• Service one person at a time.
