Contingency Plan - Measures COVID-19

The contingency plan defined by InvestBraga, Altice Forum Braga management entity, aims to establish measures and procedures to carry out the events’ activity safely and in compliance with all the recommendations of the DGS - General Health Directorate.

To generate confidence and ensure everyone’s safety, and acting with total responsibility, we present a set of rules that contribute to reduce the risks of COVID -19 spreading.

The measures and procedures presented here may at any time be updated by the DGS recommendations regarding the activity of fairs, conferences, and events.

The measures, set out in the Contingency Plan, are divided into the following areas:

Protective measures were adopted in Customer Service (box office):

  • Use, by employees in the service, of visors or masks,
  • Availability of disinfectant dispensers in all service locations,
  • Before entering the interior of the premises, visitors must stay 6 seconds on a disinfectant mat that is placed outside the entrance
  • Mandatory use of masks by visitors (masks available from a vending machine),
  • Beacon lines on the pavement indicating the waiting distance for calls,
  • All the material used (computers, keyboards, mice, ticket printers, among others) are disinfected daily,
  • We favour automatic payment (ATM, MBWay and Contactless). These are disinfected with each use,
  • Priority should be given to the registration or advance purchase of tickets electronically,
  • Assistance of one person at a time inside the premises,
  • Complaints book: being a “shared” asset, it must be handled with gloves.

For congresses and events, the following rules are defined:

  • Carrying out body temperature measurements to all the organization’s elements participants, visitors and service providers at the entrances of the building that are in use,
  • Use of a disinfectant mat at the venue entrance,
  • Mandatory use of a mask or visor for all members of the organization, participants, visitors, service providers or third parties who participate, except in situations of speaking or eating,
  • The occupancy of the seats must be carried out with a free seat between participants who are not cohabiting, with the previous row and the next row being occupied by different seats,
  • In situations where there is a stage or platform, a distance of at least 2 meters between the proscenium and the first occupied row will be guaranteed,
  • Customer service areas are equipped with protection barriers,
  • Use of beacon lines, or other means, to promote measures of physical distance, except for places of permanence to assist the spectacle and cinematographic films, in a covered place or outdoors,
  • Existence of specific circuits for entering and leaving spaces, using, whenever possible, separate doors or entrances,
  • Stay in the event only for as long as necessary,
  • Signage in the bathrooms to ensure the safety distance, namely with marking of places of use, use of alternating cabins and taps,
  • Periodic cleaning and disinfection of spaces, equipment, objects and surfaces with which there is intense contact,
  • Cleaning and disinfection before and after each use or interaction by participants of equipment, objects, surfaces, products and utensils in direct contact with participants,
  • Provision of skin disinfectant solutions for the organization, participants and visitors at the entrances and exits of spaces and enclosures, as well as inside, in appropriate places according to the type of event,
  • Performing periodic cleaning by nebulization.

For fairs and exhibitions, the following rules are defined:

  • Mandatory use of a mask or visor for all members of the organization, participants, visitors, service providers or third parties who participate, except in situations of speaking or eating,
  • Carrying out body temperature measurements to all the organization’s elements participants, visitors and service providers at the entrances of the building that are in use,
  • Use of a disinfectant mat at the venue entrance,
  • Customer service areas are equipped with protection barriers,
  • Priority should be given to the registration or advance purchase of tickets electronically and payments via contactless bank card-type channels,
  • Definition of specific circuits for entering and leaving spaces using, whenever possible, separate doors or entrances,
  • Access control mechanisms that ensure a maximum occupancy rate,
  • Controlled and balanced management of public accesses with permanent monitoring to avoid as much as possible the concentration of people at the entrances, and ensure a minimum distance of 2 meters between people in the queues,
  • Periodic cleaning and disinfection of spaces, equipment, objects and surfaces with which there is intense contact,
  • Signage in the bathrooms to ensure the safety distance, namely with marking of places of use, use of alternating cabins and taps,
  • Provision of skin disinfectant solutions for the organization, participants and visitors at the entrances and exits of spaces and enclosures, as well as inside, in appropriate places according to the type of event,
  • Concessionaires in the areas of consumption of beverages and food are obliged to observe the standards defined by DGS for the catering sector.

For concerts and shows, in a room with seating and marked seats, the following rules are defined:

  • In theatres or similar with a stage, the first two rows next to the stage must not be occupied or, alternatively, the distance of at least 2 meters between the stage and the first occupied row must be guaranteed,
  • The occupation of the seated seats must be carried out with a free seat between spectators who are not cohabiting, with the previous and next row occupying mismatched seats,
  • The cabins must be occupied, guaranteeing the rules applicable in the previous point,
  • Use of beacon lines, or other means, to promote measures of physical distance, except for places of permanence to assist the spectacle and cinematographic films, in a covered place or outdoors,
  • Ensure that people stay at the event only for as long as necessary,
  • Existence of specific circuits for entering and leaving spaces, using, whenever possible, separate doors or entrances,
  • Opening the doors earlier, and ensuring a safety distance of 2 meters in the waiting lines (marked on the floor),
  • Spectators must enter the room in order of row and place, in the direction of the place furthest from the entrance to the entrance, avoiding the crossing between spectators,
  • The spectators will leave the room from a different place from the entrance, in the direction of the place closest to the exit, avoiding the crossing between spectators,
  • Intervals/ Breaks, whenever possible, should be avoided or reduced to the minimum necessary, to avoid the ambulation of spectators,
  • Definition of maximum capacity for bathrooms, ensuring 2 meters distance in the waiting lines,
  • Increase the use of digital tickets,
  • Adequate cleaning before and after using spaces,
  • Provision of skin disinfectant solutions for the organization, participants and visitors at the entrances and exits of spaces and enclosures, as well as inside, in appropriate places according to the type of event,
  • Performing periodic cleaning by nebulization,
  • Signage in the bathrooms to ensure the safety distance, namely with marking of places of use, use of alternating cabins and taps.

For outdoor activities, the following rules are defined:

  • Mandatory to use a mask or visor for all elements of the organization, participants, visitors, service providers or third parties who participate, except in situations of speaking or members of artistic bodies during their performance on stage,
  • Carrying out measurement of body temperature elements of the organization, participants, visitors and service providers at the entrance of the enclosure,
  • Show venues must be properly delimited, allow access only to ticket holders, physical entry is not allowed without temperature control,
  • The period of entry and exit of the public must be extended so that the entrance of the spectators can be delayed, complying with the rules of distance,
  • The seats must be previously identified (eg chairs, marking on the floor, other fixed elements), giving preference to seats, observing a physical distance between spectators of 1.5 meters,
  • If there is a stage, a minimum distance of at least 2 meters must be guaranteed between the stage and the first row of spectators,
  • Provision of skin disinfectant solutions for the organization, participants and visitors at the entrances and exits of the spaces and enclosures, as well as inside in appropriate places according to the type of event.

To visit the Art Forum Braga gallery, the following rules are defined:

  • Mandatory use of a mask or visor for all elements of the organization, participants, visitors, service providers or third parties who participate, except in situations of speaking,
  • Carrying out measurement of body temperature elements of the organization, participants, visitors and service providers at the entrance to the building,
  • Placement of bactericidal disinfectant mat at the entrance of buildings,
  • The maximum capacity must be defined to guarantee the physical distance between the visitors, reducing it to 1 visitor per 20m²,
  • The entry of people must be made individually and spaced, to guarantee the distance of at least 2 meters between people, except for people who are cohabiting,
  • If necessary, time limits for entry and visit can be instituted, adapted to the size of the cultural equipment, to avoid the concentration of people inside and at the entrance,
  • A formal visit circuit should be created or reinforced, preferably with one-way circuits (limiting the visit of small spaces and minimizing the crossing of visitors at bottlenecks),
  • The concentration of people in the different points of visit of the cultural equipment must be avoided and compliance with physical distance must be reinforced. If necessary, surveillance of the various interior spaces can be strengthened,
  • Provision of skin disinfectant solutions for the organization, participants and visitors at the entrances and exits of the spaces and enclosures, as well as inside in appropriate places according to the type of event.

For the safe holding of the weekly Fair - Wholesale and Retail Sector, the following rules are defined:

  • Obligation to wear a mask by the weekly fair market vendors,
  • Sellers must have disinfectant in their spaces/benches/tents for their own use and customers,
  • Sellers must disinfect the surfaces of the sales area that they use, or that have been in contact with users,
  • Users/customers of fairs (weekly and wholesale) should, in the space of the fair, use masks,
  • Users/customers must respect the social safety distance (2 meters) between them when visiting the stands to make purchases,
  • When receiving, marketers should avoid using cash, favouring automatic payment (TPA, MBWay and contactless),
  • Hand hygiene at the beginning and at the end of each service,
  • Users/customers should avoid touching objects and surfaces,
  • The transport of products/goods must be carried out with respect for the necessary hygiene and sanitary rules defined by the Directorate-General for Health,
  • In the case of the sale of any food product, the HACCP rules must be followed, as well as the recommendations provided for in the DGS recommendation nº023 / 2020 of 8 May 2020, for the establishment of restaurants and drinks
  • There should be no more than 2 people per counter/service space for marketers,
  • Clean and disinfect the fair space, at the end of each edition,
  • The circulation of visitors at the fair will take place on the right and in a single direction, to avoid crossings. Signage will be posted indicating the directions of entry and exit.
